City & Essex is now a founding member of the newly relaunched CSSA (Cleaning and Support Services Association).

The CSSA is the UK trade association for the contract cleaning sector and represents the interests of contract cleaning employers. In an industry employing half a million people and with a market of £5.6 billion it is imperative that we have a voice that can be heard in the right places.

Relaunched on 1 February 2016, the CSSA Members were invited to reconstitute the board of directors and executive management bodies, which has resulted in the CSSA now having one of the most experienced boards in the cleaning industry.

Executive Director, John Findlater, said:

“Everyone on the board is passionate about improving the cleaning industry, and we have the best in the business at the helm. There’s some very big issues for the contract cleaning industry looming on the horizon, but this team of people can face any challenge head on, and our members will benefit enormously from the experience they bring.”
