17th June 2021
Despite the scorching summer sun, our Head Office Team volunteered their time to clear litter from our industrial estate and surrounding areas for the Great British Spring Clean.
Russell, Zoe, Rhiannon, Wendy, Debbie, Matthew, Anna, and Ashley cleared 41.76kg of waste in 1.5 miles of the public footpath.
From used PPE to trampolines, our team could be seen making the neighbourhood a more pleasant place.
“Today was another great team effort and nice to see some of our newest staff keen to participate. It was clear from the day's gatherings that the pandemic has impacted the waste in the area, with a large portion of PPE, such as masks and gloves being collected. Small actions like these make a huge difference to the appearance and safety of our Head Office and the surrounding industrial estate, and I'm very proud of the team efforts.”
Russell Blunt, Project Manager
It’s important to us at City & Essex that we do our bit to ensure our communities remain clean and tidy, and we are incredibly grateful to our team for their time and efforts.
We also want to thank Vanitorials Ltd for supplying us with our PPE, bin bags and hoops that made the job safe.
Since our last estates clean in September 2020, we have found that more of our team are willing to volunteer.
We feel there is always more to be done, so we ask our clients and staff about the causes they are personally passionate about so we can show our support.
