Last Friday, our Head Office Team volunteered their time to clear litter from the local industrial estate and surrounding areas for the Great British Spring Clean 2022.

Jess, Maddie, Lucy, Debbie, Wendy, Russell, Millie, and Ashley ventured out in two teams and cleared a total of 32.18kg of waste along 1.5 miles of public footpath.

From abandoned wheel rims to questionable liquids, our teams could be seen making a difference in the appearance and safety of the local area.

“It was great to see our new team members, Lucy, Maddie and Jess jump straight in and join the team for this litter pick. Although not the most glamorous task, the teams were in high spirits and did a thorough job. It was positive to see a reduction in loose waste around the area compared to last year’s collection of 41.1KG. We hope to see a continued change in behaviour, evidenced by less waste to collect!” - Matthew Swift, Marketing Manager

It’s important to us at City & Essex that we do our bit to ensure our communities remain clean and tidy, and we are incredibly grateful to our team for their time and efforts doing this.
