At City & Essex, we believe everyone deserves a wage that meets their everyday needs. This belief has driven our commitment to the Living Wage Foundation for the past ten years!
Since 2014, we have witnessed significant progress. When we started, the London Living Wage was £9.15 per hour. Today, it stands at £13.85 per hour, reflecting a substantial increase that underscores the importance of fair pay in a rapidly evolving economy.
But our commitment goes beyond numbers; it’s about valuing our employees and their well-being. We are proud of the positive impact this has had on our team and community over the past decade.
As we celebrate this milestone, we remain committed to advocating for fair pay everywhere and encouraging our customers to do the same. Together, we can continue to make a difference, ensuring that fair wages become the standard for all.
A huge thank you to our amazing customers who have joined us in supporting this initiative!
