Community Impact 2023

Volunteering (1)

2023 was an incredible year of giving for us at City & Essex.

We saw more of our team volunteer their time for the causes they are passionate about, with over 90 hours spent helping:

  • Animal Rescue Centres.
  • Charities Tackling Homelessness.
  • Tree Planting Initiatives.
  • Beach Clean Events.
  • Litter Picking Events.

In addition, we supported a wide range of charities throughout the year that continue to do incredible work in our local area and in London, including:

  • Tommy’s – Funding research into miscarriage, stillbirth, and premature birth.
  • Action Medical Research – Funding research into childhood diseases and treatments.
  • The Childhood Trust – Alleviating the impact of poverty on children in London.
  • Save The Children – Providing support and safe spaces for children.
  • ELHAP – Providing adventure play opportunities to disabled and disadvantaged children.
  • HUMEN – Improving and maintaining men’s mental health.
  • The Outside Project – London’s LGBTIQ+ community shelter, centre, and domestic abuse refuge.
  • London’s Air Ambulance – Delivering advanced trauma teams to London’s most critically injured.
  • Golden Geese – Providing tailored practical and emotional support to families of children fighting cancer.
  • Breast Cancer Now – Proving research and life-changing care for those affected by Breast Cancer.
  • Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Scheme – Assisting those who have a hidden disability and may need additional support.

Looking to 2024, we hope to exceed last year’s amazing efforts and continue to make a real difference in the communities we serve.

We urge you to contact us if we can join you for some volunteering or if you have any partner charities that we can support with you.
