We are very pleased to welcome Cameron Watson as our new Head of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). Since joining us at the start of August, Cameron has already been out on site with our teams and meeting customers, bringing fresh ideas, energy, and expertise to strengthen our business.
Cleaning and facilities services play a vital yet often underappreciated role in shaping workplaces and the communities they serve. ESG is becoming a defining measure of how businesses operate. Customers and stakeholders rightly expect transparency, responsibility, and innovation. For City & Essex, creating a dedicated Head of ESG role reflects our commitment to leading from the front in this area.
Cameron’s remit is wide-reaching and central to our future growth. His work will focus on:
• Driving and embedding sustainability across all areas of our business.
• Enhancing social value for our teams, customers, and communities
• Ensuring transparent ESG reporting to measure and communicate our impact
Cameron brings years of experience in ESG within the cleaning sector, giving him a unique blend of industry knowledge and sustainability expertise. He understands the challenges of balancing operational performance with environmental responsibility and social value and knows how to turn ambition into practical, measurable change. His collaborative and forward-thinking approach is already adding real value to how we work with our teams, customers, and suppliers.
Cameron’s appointment reinforces our commitment to being a people-first, forward-looking business that creates real impact across environmental, social, and governance priorities. With his leadership, we are confident that our ESG strategy will not only support our customers in achieving their sustainability goals but also raise the bar for what responsible, modern cleaning services can achieve.
We are excited to have Cameron on this journey with us and look forward to sharing the progress he helps us deliver.
