We’re proud to have completed our second year of carbon footprint reporting with Neutral Carbon Zone, and this year brought a milestone worth celebrating.
Beating Our Target, Ahead of Schedule
We set ourselves a goal to cut Scope 1 & 2 emissions by 75% against our 2019 baseline. We’ve now reached 82.2%, surpassing that target well ahead of schedule, with a further 39% reduction on last year’s emissions alone!
Growth and Decarbonisation, Together
We’ve done it while growing. Revenue rose by around 16%, yet our carbon intensity per £m of revenue fell by 14.3%. It’s proof that growth and decarbonisation don’t have to pull in opposite directions.
The Challenge Ahead: Scope 3
We won’t pretend the hardest work is behind us. Like most organisations, and many of the clients we work with, over 99% of our footprint sits in Scope 3: the goods and services we purchase, and how our people travel. We reduced it this year, but only slightly, and that’s exactly the point, this is where the real challenge lies, for us and across our industry.
What’s Next
Our focus now is collaboration: working with our supply chain to make more sustainable, lower-carbon decisions, and bringing that same experience to the clients we support every day. Consistent, independent measurement keeps us honest. It shows what’s working, and where to push harder.
