Michele Stanford, Winner of the Andy Bennett Mentor Award 2026

We’re delighted to recognise Michele Stanford, Site Manager at NEWS UK, as the recipient of this year’s Andy Bennett Mentor Award.

It is named in memory of Andy Bennett, whose legacy continues to shape our business through the values he championed: dedication, integrity, and a genuine commitment to supporting others. The award recognises individuals who embody those values and make a lasting impact on the people around them.

With over 38 years at NEWS UK and 16 years with City & Essex, Michele has built an exceptional reputation for her consistency, high standards, and unwavering work ethic.

Alongside her daughter, Melissa, she leads a team of 58 colleagues, the largest on-site team in our portfolio, delivering outstanding service in a 24/7, high-profile, fast-paced environment.

Michele has been recognised not only for operational excellence, but for the way she mentors and develops her team. She leads by example, sets clear expectations, and takes pride in helping others grow, creating a culture where people feel supported, motivated, and accountable to the highest standards.

Michele was presented with the 2026 Andy Bennett Mentor Award by Managing Director, Ian Hookway, who shared:
