At City & Essex, we believe in the power of giving back to the community. Our commitment to supporting others is woven into the fabric of our company ethos. By partnering with charities and local communities, we aim to make a meaningful impact on causes that are close to our hearts, resonate with our customers, and align with the personal passions of our employees.

So far this year, we have proudly supported a number of remarkable charities, each playing a vital role in their respective fields:

  • LandAid Sleepout – Addressing youth homelessness, LandAid Sleepout brings together property professionals to raise funds and awareness, helping to provide safe accommodation for young people in need.

  • Cancer Active Trust – This charity is dedicated to raising awareness and providing information and resources from all published scientific sources around the world so that people wanting to beat cancer can make more informed decisions about their treatment options.
  • St. Mary’s Hospital – We donated 50+ Easter eggs to the Children’s Intensive Care Unit at St. Mary’s Hospital. This small act of kindness aimed to bring joy and a sense of normalcy to children and their families during a challenging time.
  • Kidney Care UK – As the leading kidney patient support charity in the UK, Kidney Care UK provides essential care and services to individuals affected by kidney disease, advocating for better health outcomes and quality of life.
  • ELHAP (Every Life Has A Purpose) – ELHAP offers unique adventure play opportunities for children, young people, and adults with disabilities, fostering an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.
  • Crossroads Braintree & Chelmsford – This charity provides invaluable physical and emotional support and respite services to the growing number of adults and young people who provide unpaid care to people affected by disability, age, illness or mental ill health, ensuring they have the resources and assistance needed to care for their loved ones effectively.
  • Alzheimer’s Society – By supporting the Alzheimer’s Society, we are contributing to vital research and support services for individuals living with dementia, as well as their families and caregivers.
  • Gold Geese – This small local charity provides tailored practical and emotional support to families of children and young people fighting cancer in the Southend and Basildon areas.

Funding these amazing charities has helped them continue their invaluable work, helping countless individuals and families across our communities.

A Shared Vision
Our approach to charitable giving is driven by a shared vision among our employees, customers, and partners. We encourage our team members to engage with causes they are passionate about, fostering a culture of empathy and social responsibility. By aligning our efforts with the interests and values of our stakeholders, we ensure that our contributions have a profound and lasting impact.

Looking Ahead
We are dedicated to expanding our support for charitable causes in the coming years. We are constantly exploring new opportunities to collaborate with charities and community organisations, working collaboratively with our customers and supply chain, amplifying our impact, and reaching even more people in need.
