We Are Now SBTi Approved!

We’re proud to share an important milestone for City & Essex: we are now SBTi approved.

This means our carbon reduction targets have been independently validated, recognising the progress we’re making to reduce emissions and build environmental responsibility into the way we work.

For us, this is more than a badge or a box ticked. It reflects a real commitment to making sustainability part of our everyday decisions, and to backing that commitment with clear action and measurable progress.

What This Means
SBTi approval gives independent recognition to the targets we’ve set and the direction we’re taking as a business. It shows that our approach to carbon reduction is grounded in science and aligned with a credible framework for climate action.

For our customers, this matters too. It means they can work with a partner whose climate commitments are supported by science and practical action, helping them meet their own sustainability, ESG, and procurement goals with confidence.

Why We Pursued It
We chose to go through the SBTi process because we believe sustainability should be practical, measurable, and embedded into how a business operates day to day.

It’s not just about setting targets. It’s about making long-term improvements that have a real impact, across our business, across our services, and for the customers we support.

Looking Ahead
Being SBTi approved is an important step in our sustainability journey, but it’s just that: a step. We’ll continue working hard to reduce emissions, improve the way we operate, and make responsible choices that support a better future for our business and our customers.
